Bathroom Update

When you look at these before and afters, you almost can’t believe we didn’t do any structural work! Changing up decor can make a massive difference in brightening up a room, and even making dated fixtures less noticeable.

I’ve worked with wallpaper before but this was my first time using wallpaper that already had adhesive on it. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! Fairly easy to install, and easy to match up the lines. Because it’s a bathroom, and there’s going to be moisture, we’re going to use a wallpaper glue along the edges to be sure it stays secure.

You guys may have noticed that in some of my designs I love to mix pattern. The key is to contrast the scale of the patterns. Mixing something large and simple, with something smaller and busier. Or mixing shapes, and coordinating colors. It’s a fun way to add character!

Bathrooms can be tricky to update without remodeling, because they tend to be all about the fixtures, tile, cabinetry and countertops. But we can’t always make those major changes, so I hope this is inspiring in that, you can love the way your homes look even without doing your dream remodel. And that it can feel beautiful and cozy and homey when you’re on a budget.

I’m scheduling consultations for January and February, shoot me an email if you have any questions about our process!
