fall styling

Personally, I’ve found holiday decorating to be kind of tricky. I love to add touches of the season in my home, but I don’t want it to be overwhelming or look out of place. And honestly… sometimes it can feel like kind of a chore right? Pulling down the holiday decor containers from the attic and what not. I have some tips that can simplify the season and give you those cozy vibes.

  1. Switch out your textiles. It doesn’t get much easier than just replacing your pillows. And I don’t necessarily mean to go to Home Goods and purchase a “trick or treat” pillow. There’s a time and place for them, of course! But we want something low key. So let’s start by bringing in some warmer tones. For my home; oranges, cream, and even brown. If you have a home with cooler tones, try; navy, deep green and dark gray. If you want to make an even bigger impact, you could switch your curtains to a moodier color as well.

  2. Twinkle lights. I know, it sounds a little cheesy. But I’ve been adding little fairy lights to one of my plants for a couple years and it’s pretty magical. You could add them to your mantle, around your kitchen window, or to your coffee bar.

  3. Organic touches. Bring in the pampas grass, a bowl of apples on the counter, the pumpkin spice candles, knit blankets and woven baskets.
